Job summary

The Good Samaritan Society is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for evening shifts in De Smet, SD. This full-time position involves providing resident-centered care under the supervision of an RN, assisting with daily living activities, recording vital signs, and supporting meal service and mobility.

Candidate must hold CNA certification with the State Board of Nursing or be in an approved certification process; high school diploma or GED is expected.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required by State Board of Nursing, or in process within four months.
• High school diploma or GED preferred or required per state.
• Minimum 12 hours continuing education annually.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care under supervision of an RN.
• Assist with daily living activities and basic health care tasks.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to charge nurse.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and mobility; maintain infection control practices.
