Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at All Saints Spring St Campus in Racine, WI. The role operates on a 3rd shift schedule, 9:30pm–7:30am, including weekdays and alternating holidays and weekends.

Responsibilities cover specimen acceptability, routine and complex testing, instrument maintenance, and quality control to ensure accurate patient results. Minimum qualifications include an Associate’s degree in a chemical or biological science or related field.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper function.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform preventive maintenance and quality control procedures.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with processing of specimens when required.
