Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our team at Ascension SE Wisconsin Hospital - Franklin in Franklin, WI. This part-time role offers a 1st shift with every 3rd weekend rotation, from 6AM-2:30PM or 9:30AM-6:30PM.

Responsibilities include specimen acceptance, routine and complex testing, instrumentation maintenance, and accurate reporting to support patient care. Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in a chemical or biological science.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• 3+ months of clinical core laboratory rotations/training.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures per SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to support patient care.
• Perform and document preventive maintenance and quality control.
• Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed.
• Assist with processing of specimens when required.
• Maintain a safe work environment and wear PPE.
