Job summary

HNL Lab Medicine in Allentown, PA seeks an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to perform high, moderate, and waived tests under SOPs, using advanced instrumentation, and to report results for clinician interpretation.

You will work evening shifts, cover every other weekend and rotating holidays, participate in CSI and training, and ensure quality control while collaborating with healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• Must meet CLIA 88 personnel requirements for high complexity testing.
• Associate’s degree in MLT program from an accredited institution required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical information.

Responsibilities

• Perform high, moderate, or waived laboratory testing per SOPs.
• Recognize and correct instrument malfunctions and document troubleshooting.
• Verify and report test results independently.
• Monitor results for reasonableness and critical values.
• Correlate and interpret data generated from testing.
• Assist physicians in interpreting test results and providing guidance.
