Job summary

Regional One Health in Memphis, TN seeks an experienced Charge Nurse for the Medicine Stepdown unit on the evening shift. You will supervise patient care, coordinate staffing, and ensure adherence to care plans and safety protocols.

Ideal candidates hold a 2-year nursing degree with Tennessee RN licensure and CPR/BLS, plus at least one year of clinical experience and prior charge nurse exposure.

Qualifications

• Must be graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Tennessee RN license; CPR/BLS certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year clinical experience; 1 year of charge nurse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serves as charge nurse and coordinates shift activities to provide optimal patient care.
• Assigns duties to staff based on patient acuity and policies for efficient care.
• Provides nursing care and performs activities of staff RN as needed.
• Plans staff assignments, monitors care outcomes, and evaluates unit performance.
• Oversees nursing personnel and instructs on technical care such as IV setup and monitoring.
