Job summary

San Diego State University Imperial Valley is seeking a service-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment on the SDSU Imperial Valley campus in California. The role includes custodial, maintenance, and support duties to ensure facilities are ready for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The position is full-time, non-exempt, with standard hours 1:00 p.m.–9:30 p.m. and an anticipated end date of six months.

Qualifications

• Prior experience not required.
• Valid California Driver’s License or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
• Knowledge of custodial methods and cleaning chemicals.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Experience with custodial floor equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Custodial services: clean classrooms, offices, restrooms.
• Perform floor care and restore restrooms.
• Support post-construction cleanup and events.
• Report maintenance needs and assist with securing facilities.
