Job summary

SDSU Imperial Valley is seeking a part-time Custodian to help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment on the SDSU Imperial Valley Campus in California. The role includes custodial, maintenance, and support duties, with an emphasis on providing reliable service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The position is intermittent hourly with an end date of June 30, 2027. It requires a California driver’s license or ability to obtain one within 30 days and offers overtime

Qualifications

• General knowledge of custodial methods and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to perform cleaning and minor maintenance tasks.
• Experience with floor care and restroom supply replenishment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas.
• Perform floor care, furniture cleaning, trash and recycling removal.
• Assist with post-construction cleanup and special custodial projects.
• Support conferences, events, and campus operations.
