Job summary

San Diego State University Imperial Valley is seeking a part-time Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming campus environment on the SDSU Imperial Valley Campus in Brawley, CA. This intermittent hourly position requests flexibility to cover varying operational needs and overtime as needed under FLSA non-exempt rules.

Responsibilities include cleaning classrooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas; performing floor care; handling trash and recycling; and supporting post-construction

Qualifications

• Prior experience not required.
• Ability to lift and transport equipment up to 50 pounds.
• General knowledge of cleaning chemicals and methods.

Responsibilities

• Custodial services for classrooms, offices, restrooms, common areas and entrances.
• Perform floor care, furniture cleaning, trash and recycling removal, and restroom supply replenishment.
• Support post-construction cleanup, emergency cleaning and special custodial projects.
• Maintain windows, stairwells, exterior walkways and other facilities for a clean appearance.
