Job summary

YMCA in Kernersville, NC seeks a Branch Operations Leader for evenings and weekends to oversee facility operations and member experience. You will be the on-site lead, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and smooth program execution while coordinating with staff across departments.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, strong customer service and communication skills, and the ability to stand for long periods. CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; 18+ years old.
• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to stand for the majority of shift.
• Bilingual is a plus; willingness to learn YMCA programs.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests as they enter/leave the facility and be available to support staff during shift.
• Cross-train and assist in multiple departments including Membership, Wellness, and Kids Zone.
• Monitor the facility and report housekeeping issues for follow-up.
• Report maintenance or repair needs to leadership; ensure proper incident reporting procedures.
• Respond to emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches during shifts.
• Ensure doors are secured and exterior doors are not propped open.
• Address member concerns and provide timely responses.
• Oversee shift closing procedures and area cleanliness.
