Bradford Health Services in Smithville, TX is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join our dedicated team. You will assist in patient care, monitor activities, and support medication routines in a facility setting on a full-time basis.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR certification, clear communication, and the ability to work under pressure. Relevant experience in addiction treatment is preferred; abstinence verification may be required for some positions.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must possess the ability to communicate effectively and demonstrate a basic understanding of the principles of chemical dependency recovery.
• Must be able to walk within the facility and on the grounds for approximately one mile per 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to continuously sit for approximately three hours per 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to administer CPR and be certified.
• Must be able to see and hear constantly.
• Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.
• Maintain records and have good communication skills.
• Must be able to stand continuously in increments of 45 minutes to one hour.
• If recovering, two years of continuous verifiable abstinence.
• One year’s experience in alcohol/drug treatment with direct patient contact preferred.

Responsabilités

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Ensure patients follow schedule and are on time for assignments.
• Supervise and facilitate patient activities as directed.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations.
• Assist patients to and from activities, medication times, and meals.
• Assist the counselor and engage in documentation.
• Drive patients to appointments and outings as directed.
• Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
• Work in a cooperative manner with staff and clients.
