Job summary

Bradford Health Services in Smithville, TX seeks Behavioral Health Technicians to support patients in a recovery facility. You will assist with patient orientation, medication timing, safety checks, and activity supervision, following treatment policies to help maintain a therapeutic environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with nurses and counselors, driving patients to appointments, and maintaining accurate records.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Ability to communicate effectively and understand recovery principles.
• Walk approx. 1 mile per 8-hour shift; sit for ~3 hours per 8-hour shift.
• CPR certified and able to respond to emergencies.
• Maintain records and liaison with staff and clients.

Responsibilities

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate recovery meetings.
• Be aware of patient locations and document hourly checks.
• Ensure adherence to Bradford Program Schedule and assignments.
• Supervise patient activities and assist in evening routines.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations.
• Drive patients to appointments and for activities as directed.
• Assist nurses and counselors; document shift reports.
• Attend staff training and adhere to policies.
