Job summary

Bradford Health Services is seeking Behavioral Health Technicians to join a treatment facility near Austin. You will support patients through daily activities, monitor safety, and assist clinical staff in implementing treatment plans within a structured program.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, CPR, and the ability to manage shifts with vigilance and strong communication. You will contribute to a safe environment and coordinate with nurses, counselors, and staff.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must communicate effectively and understand chemical dependency recovery basics.
• Must be able to walk within the facility and grounds ~1 mile per 8-hour shift.
• Must be able to stand for 45 minutes to 1 hour increments.
• CPR certification is required.
• Must be able to sit for ~3 hours per 8-hour shift.
• Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stress.
• Maintain records and have good communication skills.
• Two years of abstinence if recovering.
• Will be able to work with staff and patients in a team setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist in luggage and body searches.
• Monitor and facilitate Book Studies and Recovery meetings.
• Document hourly checks and patient locations.
• Ensure adherence to Bradford Program Schedule and punctuality.
• Supervise patient activities and escorts to rooms, meals, and activities.
• Oversee med line to prevent diversion and de-escalate situations.
• Drive patients to appointments and outings as directed.
• Assist nurses and counselors as directed.
• Attend staff trainings and programs.
