Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients through admission to discharge, including safety monitoring, interventions, and group activities. You will assist nursing staff, document shift notes, and help implement treatment plans in a 24/7 setting.

This full-time, on-site role in Scotrun, PA requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, CPI, and CPR/First Aid certifications within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• Must obtain and maintain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: Minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records; and of facility/company proprietary, privileged, and/or confidential information.
• Provides exemplary customer service to all patients.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule and supports patients during admission and discharge.
• Monitors patient activity and documents any significant patient issues; complete shift and group notes on time.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties as directed, including supervision and vitals.
• Observes infection control policies and participates in hand hygiene.
• Substance Use Division: collecting urine specimens with chain of custody.
• Residential Treatment Only: transportation services and driving eligibility where applicable.
