Job summary

Brookdale in Scotrun, PA is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I for a weekend day shift to support patients through admission to discharge. Responsibilities include safety, interventions, and leading psychoeducational groups on-site.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, CPI/CPR/First Aid certifications, and adherence to policies. Healthcare environment experience is preferred with full-time hours and weekend coverage.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required/preferred.
Valid Driver’s License required.
Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire.
Must obtain CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications.
Substance Use Division: minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
Eating Disorder Division: minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule, including routines, meals, hygiene, safety observations.
Assists Nursing staff with duties such as patient supervision and vitals.
Recognizes and responds to crises and provides appropriate interventions.
Reports to work on time and prepared to perform duties.
Assists in implementing individual patient treatment plans.
Supports patients during admission and discharge processes.
Monitors patient activity and documents issues; ensures timely shift notes and documentation.
Maintains an organized and safe environment and performs basic housekeeping.
Conducts facility and grounds checks and reports safety concerns.
Responsible for scheduled shifts and coverage; attends staff meetings and trainings.
Completes online trainings and HR file updates.
Observes infection control policies and hand hygiene.
Performs other duties as assigned.
