Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients from admission through discharge and contribute meaningfully to treatment planning. The role emphasizes patient safety, interventions, and group facilitation within a comprehensive care program.

The position requires a high school diploma, a valid driver's license, CPI certification within 90 days, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire, training provided.
• Must obtain and maintain CPR, AED, and First Aid, training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to all DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains a positive and respectful attitude.
• Provides exemplary customer service to all patients.

• Follows directions from facility leadership.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient information and records.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties as directed, e.g., vitals and supervision.
• Recognizes and responds to crisis situations and provides interventions.
• Documents shift notes and group notes accurately by end of shift.
• Maintains organized, safe environment and basic housekeeping.
• Conducts facility and grounds checks and reports safety concerns.
