Job summary

Center For Discovery in McLean, VA is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Tech to support patients through admission to discharge. You will assist with daily routines, monitor safety, oversee mealtime supervision in the Eating Disorder Division, and coordinate with nursing staff to implement treatment plans.

The role requires compassionate care, thorough documentation, crisis intervention, and collaboration with clinical teams to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment for patients and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or equivalent experience in mental health/substance use/eating disorder field.
• Experience or willingness to work in behavioral health settings and support treatment plans.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to policies and maintains confidentiality.
• Provides patient safety, interventions, and behavioral support.
• Leads psychoeducational groups and documents shift notes and group notes.
• Assists nursing staff with duties and monitors patient conditions.
• Provides transportation services if pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle.
• Supports patients during admission and discharge with belongings and transition planning.
