Job summary

Brookdale in Scotrun, PA, seeks a Behavioral Health Tech I to support patients throughout the treatment experience from admission to discharge. The role focuses on patient safety, interventions, leading psychoeducational groups, and assisting in the treatment planning process.

Responsibilities include adherence to policies, professional conduct, confidential handling of information, and collaboration with nursing and clinical teams.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) preferred.
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver’s License.
• Must obtain CPI certification within 90 days of hire; CPR, AED, and First Aid training provided.
• Substance Use Division: Minimum 1 year sobriety if in recovery.
• Eating Disorder Division: Minimum 1 year recovery from eating disorder if in recovery.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to DBH policies and procedures.
• Maintains patient safety and confidentiality of information.
• Provides exemplary customer service to patients.
• Facilitates patient daily needs per the program schedule.
• Assists Nursing staff with duties including vitals and room/patient searches.
• Monitors patient activity and documents shift notes and group notes.
• Supports patients during admission and discharge processes and ensures smooth transitions.
• Observes infection control policies and maintains hand hygiene.

Education
