Job summary

Discovery Behavioral Health is seeking a part-time Behavioral Health Tech I in Los Angeles, CA. The role supports patients through admission to discharge, assisting with safety, interventions, and daily program routines under clinical supervision.

The position requires high school graduation, a valid California driver’s license, CPI/CPR/First Aid certifications, and adherence to facility policies. Weekend/evening shifts are required with on-site work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma preferred
• Valid and unrestricted State Driver's License
• CPI certification within 90 days of hire
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications
• Substance Use Division: 1 year sobriety if in recovery
• Eating Disorder Division: 1 year recovery if in recovery

Responsibilities

• Ensure patient safety and assist with patient interventions
• Support nursing staff with duties including supervision, vitals, and safety checks
• Document shift notes and group notes accurately by end of shift
• Facilitate psychoeducational groups and participate in treatment planning discussions
• Assist with meal supervision and food handling in Eating Disorder division as required
• Provide transportation services and support to patients as needed
