Job summary

Embassy Suites Georgetown in Washington, DC is seeking a Cook PM to join our culinary team. The role focuses on preparing items from recipes, maintaining cleanliness, and delivering high service levels during evenings and events.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for quality meals for restaurant and banquets, flexible scheduling including weekends and holidays, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hotel kitchen.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous culinary experience preferred.
• Ability to speak, read, and write fluent English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisor.
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Properly storing food items at appropriate temperatures.
• Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures.
