Job summary

Embassy Suites Georgetown is seeking an AM/PM Line Cook to join their culinary team, preparing meals to recipes and established standards in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding service and financial profitability.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma, ability to follow recipes, and a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays; prior kitchen experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required or preferred.
• Culinary experience is preferred.
• Fluent English (spoken and written) is required; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
• Manage guest orders in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
• Ensure knowledge of menu and all food products.
• Stock and maintain designated food station(s).
• Monitor food stock levels and communicate shortages to supervisor.
• Visually inspect all food sent from the kitchen.
• Measure out meal ingredients according to a recipe.
• Clean up the kitchen space after cooking and sanitize prep areas.
• Store food items at appropriate temperatures and follow food safety procedures.
