Job summary

Lake Technical College – Eustis, FL, seeks a Part-Time Baking & Pastry Arts Instructor for the Evening Program. You will teach a 600-hour program running mid-August to mid-April, Monday–Thursday evenings, guiding students through hands-on baking and pastry techniques.

The role requires 3+ years of industry experience, a ServSafe certification is preferred, and a passion for mentoring the next generation of culinary professionals. Competitive hourly pay and a collaborative team await.

Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of professional baking and pastry industry experience.
• ServSafe Food Manager certification preferred – or willingness to obtain promptly.
• Passion for teaching and mentoring students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Prior teaching or training experience is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in baking and pastry arts.
• Prepare students for success in the culinary industry through classroom and lab instruction.
• Demonstrate proper techniques, food safety, sanitation, and industry best practices.
• Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and professional learning environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team of culinary instructors and staff.
