Job summary

Axiom Space in Webster, Texas is seeking an energetic EVA Principal Systems Engineer to lead major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System. You will own cradle-to-grave systems engineering for EVA assets and report to the EVA Systems Engineering and Integration Manager.

The role requires 6+ years in systems engineering, proficiency with Cameo MBSE, and experience with UHF, WiFi, and 5G communications, plus NASA human spaceflight programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
• A minimum of 6+ years systems engineering experience across the lifecycle (concepts, requirements, design support, integration, V&V) or equivalent.
• Experience using Cameo for system modeling and trades analysis.
• Experience with communications systems including UHF, WiFi, and cellular/5G.
• Experience with NASA human spaceflight programs and testing of spacecraft/spacesuits is preferred.
• INCOSE CSEP preferred; strong ownership, persistence, and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

• End-to-end, cradle-to-grave Systems Engineering for Axiom EVA Systems, including Suits, Flight Support Equipment, Training Equipment, Ground Equipment, and EVA Tools.
• Conception and requirements development, including interfaces, procurement specs, traceability, and maintenance.
• Create EVA Systems Model in MBSE (Cameo) and decompose to component level.
• Integrate system model into Jama requirements management for traceability.
• Support verification & validation of EVA requirements and conduct trade studies for improved communications and antenna updates.
• Define and maintain system/subsystem performance assessments and assist with cross-functional changes.
