Job summary

Axiom Space is seeking a bold and dynamic Principal Systems Engineer to lead major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System. This onsite role in Webster, Texas reports to the Systems Engineering and Integration Manager and requires deep expertise in EVA systems and verification planning.

The position emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and accountability across multiple engineering teams, with a focus on ensuring rigorous validation of system concepts and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
• 10+ years of experience in System Engineering and Integration.
• Track record of delivering in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end systems engineering for Axiom EVA Systems, including suits and ground equipment.
• Define and manage system requirements, verification, and validation plans.
• Coordinate system and subsystem architecture, interfaces, and product breakdown structures.
• Lead verification/validation activities across engineering teams and suppliers.
• Develop waivers and variances; monitor progress and communicate status.
