Job summary

iQuasar, LLC is seeking an experienced MBSE Systems Engineer to lead major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System. This 100% onsite role in Houston, TX requires deep MBSE expertise and strong communication with senior decision-makers.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in systems engineering across lifecycle, familiarity with Cameo, and a background in UHF/WiFi/5G communications, with NASA spaceflight exposure preferred.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizens or permanent residents only due to facility access.
• Background check and drug screening required.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as project milestones demand.
• 6+ years in systems engineering across lifecycle (concepts to V&V).
• Experience with Cameo or similar MBSE tools for system models.
• Experience with UHF, WiFi, and cellular/5G communications.
• NASA human spaceflight programs and space suit familiarity preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with big-picture thinking.
• Excellent writing/presentation skills for senior audiences.
• Startup experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead major testing campaigns for the AxEVA System.
• Perform cradle-to-grave systems engineering across subsystems and interfaces.
• Create EVA system models in MBSE environment (Cameo) and ensure traceability.
• Integrate system model into Jama requirements management for traceability.
• Perform trade studies to improve communications architectures.
• Support verification and validation activities for EVA requirements.
• Manage product breakdown structures and architecture definitions.
• Provide system-level support and assess change impacts.
