Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking a Project Engineer in Houston, TX to coordinate product development projects from planning through delivery. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and quality teams to ensure milestones, budgets and scope are met.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field and 4+ years in a research, manufacturing or product-development context. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, or product development environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor engineering projects from initiation through delivery.
• Gather required data from end-users to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to create technical specifications.
• Serve as liaison between engineering and non-engineering departments to ensure that all targets and requirements are met.
• Ensure engineering projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Lead hardware failure investigations and drive CAPA with cross-functional teams.
• Keep program managers informed of issues that may impact completion or budget.
• Support project planning during pre-bid, proposal, negotiation and contract phases.
• Brief NASA customer on technical aspects of EVA projects through meetings and reports.
