Job summary

Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America (HMGMA) is hiring a General Assembly Vehicle Engineering Associate/Specialist. This role serves as the technical expert for the assigned area during vehicle launches, coordinating equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.

You will review requirements, prepare spec packages, communicate with Korea and US teams, and develop Assembly Process Sheets.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; CATIA/CAD preferred.
Willingness for domestic and international travel.

Responsibilities

Serve as technical expert during vehicle launches.
Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
Prepare specs after reviewing requirements (Quality, Safety, UPH, Layout).
Communicate with Advanced Vehicle Manufacturing Engineering Team in Korea and other relevant teams in R&D from Korea/USA for successful launch.
Host video conference in new vehicle design improvement and status follow up meeting.
Prepare Assembly Process Sheets with method and line conditions and detailed pictures/text.
Check workability and quality for vehicle assembly.
Review vehicle drawings (torque, dimensions) and design work processes.
Determine Man Hour based on MODAPTS and optimize labor allocation.
Participate in Cross Functional Teams and problem-solving teams as required.
Provide technical training to team members and support daily production issues.
Review technical developments and propose new technology projects.
Prepare presentations/reports to management.
