Job summary

Hyundai Motor Company in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Technical Specialist for General Assembly to optimize production processes and coordinate vehicle launches. The role requires analyzing and improving performance across safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors, while coordinating cross-functional teams, leading equipment install projects, and preparing reports for leadership.

Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and 0–10 years of related experience are preferred;

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline or equivalent.
• 0–10 years of related engineering/industrial experience preferred.
• Experience in automotive machining processes, tooling capability, and dimensional quality systems desired.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert of assigned area during vehicle launches.
• Coordinate and lead project activities, including new equipment installation, supplier selection, and implementation phases.
• Analyze and continuously improve performance of assigned area (safety, quality, production, cost, and human factors).
• Participate in Cross Functional Teams (CFT) and other problem solving teams, as directed by Senior Management.
• Serve as technical expert for Team Members, Team Leaders, including technical training, as required.
• Support daily production issues as required.
• Continually review technical developments in area of responsibility and propose new technology projects as appropriate.
• Prepare presentations/reports on current projects, progress, and issues to management.
• Understand and control labor allocation.
• Meet all other requirements as assigned
• Administer, coordinate, and comply with all Business Management System (BMS), Environmental Management System (EMS), and Safety Management System (SMS) requirements.
