Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Service Trainer to design, deliver, and continuously improve hands-on training programs for service technicians across our authorized dealer network. Travel up to 50% domestically to ensure technicians meet Harbinger’s high standards for EV technology and safety.

The role requires 5+ years in technical service roles and 2+ years in HV EV training, with strong electrical theory and diagnostics knowledge.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5+ years as a Service Technician, Automotive Trainer, or in a related technical role.
Minimum of 2+ years of direct experience working with or training on High Voltage (HV) EV systems and components.
Deep understanding of automotive electrical theory, diagnostic procedures, and vehicle systems.
Ability to read and interpret complex wiring diagrams, schematics, and service manuals.
Must hold or be able to immediately obtain a recognized certification in High‑Voltage EV Safety.

Responsibilities

Deliver multi-day instructor-led training sessions on EV topics including high-voltage safety, battery systems, charging infrastructure, and ADAS.
Develop and update training modules in collaboration with Engineering and Service Operations.
Create and maintain training aids, labs, and manuals; administer exams to evaluate technician competency.
Provide field support and coaching to dealer service management and technicians; collect feedback to improve materials.
Ensure all training complies with high-voltage safety standards and industry requirements.
