Job summary

Intramotev, based in St. Louis, MO, is seeking a Production Engineering Manager to lead the design and operation of our low-volume, high-mix production of self-propelled battery-electric railcars and vehicles.

You will own the factory, the production ops team, the build schedule, and the processes that keep safety, quality, delivery, and cost on track. You will shape the factory layout, hire and develop the team, plan with Odoo MRP, partner with supply chain, and drive standard work and metrics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, industrial, or mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in production or manufacturing operations.
• Proven management experience leading production teams and schedules.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical and/or electrical assembly, integration, and testing.
• Experience planning and scheduling production in an MRP/ERP system with supply chain coordination.
• Track record of defining standard work, production metrics, and safety practices.
• Willingness to expand into new technical areas and develop innovative approaches.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• U.S. person; immigration/work visa sponsorship not provided.

Responsibilities

• Design and scale factory layout to meet demand with lean methods.
• Build and lead the production operations team; hire and develop staff.
• Plan, schedule, and control production in Odoo MRP.
• Coordinate with supply chain on materials and make/buy decisions.
• Oversee mechanical and electrical assembly, integration, and test.
• Ensure shop-floor safety and establish standard work.
• Define production metrics for safety, quality, efficiency, delivery, and cost.
• Lead quality, test, and audits with engineering and QA.
