Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) is seeking a Modeling and Simulation Engineer to develop advanced modeling frameworks and validate control algorithms across powertrain, chassis, and thermal domains.

You will work at the intersection of virtual development and real-world testing to optimize performance in NA-market vehicles. You will deploy 1D models, design virtual frameworks, and contribute to HIL architectures, enabling seamless integration with embedded control hardware and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years developing and deploying simulation models across powertrain, chassis dynamics, and thermal management.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink and Stateflow expertise; experience with co-simulation for multi-domain validation.
• Understanding of electric/hybrid powertrains and vehicle dynamics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain 1D simulation models for performance prediction across vehicle domains.
• Design and deploy virtual development frameworks for testing and validation of new control concepts.
• Collaborate on HIL system architecture for real-time validation before vehicle deployment.
• Create and execute test cases for control algorithm validation in HIL environments.
• Support transition of algorithms from simulation to rapid prototyping or embedded hardware.
