Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Senior Engineer for the Production Vehicle Optimization (PVO) Team within the Vehicle Engineering Department.

You will develop production-ready concepts for Genesis, Hyundai, and KIA, collaborating with HMMA, KaGA, HMGMA, and suppliers to enhance quality and cost efficiency. Responsibilities include manufacturability reviews, warranty prevention, and design for quality using DAQ tools (ETAS INCA, Intrepid VehicleSpy, Vector CAN/Ethernet).

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of automotive engineering design and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge of safety standards and testing methods.
• Experience with DAQ tools and vehicle networks.

Responsibilities

• Apply expertise to develop production improvement concepts for Genesis, Hyundai and KIA.
• Collaborate with North American teams and suppliers as an onsite liaison.
• Confirm manufacturability and focus on warranty prevention and quality.
• Use DAQ tools to evaluate and propose improvements.
• Oversee testing and assess feasibility for production.
• Prepare technical reports and detailed project plans; manage budgets.
• Travel up to 25% domestically and internationally.
