Job summary
Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. (HATCI) seeks a Sr. EV Drivability Engineer for the EV Drivability team within the EV Performance Department.
You will drive testing, calibration, and development to optimize acceleration and powertrain behavior for Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis EVs in North America. Role requires strong powertrain calibration, EV systems, data acquisition, and collaboration with R&D. Travel up to 20% may be required; a Bachelor's in mechanical or electrical engineering is
Qualifications
- 4-8+ years' experience in electrified powertrain testing, calibration or controls development.
- Experience in powertrain controls calibration/logic development.
- Strong knowledge of EV powertrain systems, battery tech, and vehicle dynamics.
- Prototype vehicle on-road testing and data-driven decision making.
Responsibilities
- Lead testing, development, and calibration of drivability for NA market of Hyundai/Kia/Genesis EVs.
- Direct proving ground and on-road tests including extreme weather and dyno tests.
- Develop calibration guides, procedures, and development reports.
- Collaborate with Korean R&D and mentor test teams.
