Job summary

Cox Automotive in the United States is seeking a Lot Operations Specialist I to oversee EV charging operations and scheduling at the lot. You will monitor charge levels across 1,659 EVs, manage charger schedules, and track SOC thresholds to ensure readiness and efficient vehicle movement.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to enter/exit vehicles, and the physical capability to lift light loads.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license and safe driving record.
• Constantly required to enter and exit vehicles.
• Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
• Ability to walk long distances.
• Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
• Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
• Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
• Vision abilities include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Preferred: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous auction experience.
• Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring charge levels across 1,659 EVs.
• Managing charger schedules and prioritization.
• Tracking vehicles approaching critical SOC thresholds.
• Coordinating vehicle movement on and off charging stations.
• Supporting operational departments with EV readiness needs.
• Reporting charging trends and utilization metrics.
