Job summary

Cox Automotive seeks a Sr Lot Operations Specialist to manage EV charging operations and inventory control at a Cox location in the United States. The role involves coordinating charging activities, monitoring uptime, and communicating with customers and partners to keep inventory moving efficiently.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years’ experience in a related field.
• Or alternative combinations such as degree/certification beyond HS diploma with 3 years’ experience or 7 years’ related experience.
• Safe drivers required; valid driver’s license.
• Prior experience in vehicle reconditioning and general auto body knowledge.
• Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Team-based interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Must have physical ability and mental acuity for duties.

Responsibilities

• EV & charging operations management to ensure vehicle availability.
• Coordinate daily EV charging activities and monitor charger uptime.
• Coordinate with Facilities and vendors on charger maintenance.
• Ensure safe and compliant use of EV charging equipment.
• Monitor inventory aged 15+ days and manage units on-site.
• Identify inventory belonging to commercial, dealer, or repossession accounts.
• Contact vehicle owners to notify aged inventory.
• Make daily outbound calls to clients with on-site inventory.
• Explain storage timelines and required actions clearly to customers.
• Document conversations in AS400 with audit-ready records.
• Coordinate vehicle movement with Operations, Commercial, Dealer Services, Repo, and Facilities.
• Escalate recurring issues to the Operations Manager.
• Maintain follow-up to prevent aged inventory escalation.
