Job summary

Alphahire seeks a remote-first consultant to design and optimize public incentive programs for EV and clean-transport initiatives. You will build intake, review, award, and payment-tracking processes while advising agencies on NEVI, CFI, IRA, and related reporting requirements.

This role involves drafting guidance, FAQs, and scoring rubrics, plus outreach to fleets and charging providers. Preferred candidates have experience with state EV/EVSE rebate programs and grants management systems, and

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience administering public incentive, rebate, grant, or voucher programs.
• Working knowledge of clean-transportation or energy program compliance, eligibility, and reporting.
• Ability to write program procedures and applicant guidance suitable for public-agency adoption.
• Comfort working as a 1099, project-based consultant in a remote-first environment with occasional client travel.
• Direct experience with NEVI, CFI, VW Mitigation Trust, IRA, or state EV/EVSE rebate programs (preferred).
• Experience providing fleet or freight electrification concierge services, technical assistance, or applicant support (preferred).
• Familiarity with grants management systems, CRM platforms, or payment-tracking tools used by state or local programs (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design or improve EV rebate, voucher, and charger incentive program rules, workflows, and eligibility checks.
• Build application intake, review, award, and payment-tracking processes for day-to-day program operations.
• Advise agencies on NEVI, CFI, VW, IRA, and state clean-fleet or EVSE program compliance and reporting.
• Draft applicant guidance, FAQs, scoring rubrics, and monitoring checklists.
• Support outreach to participating fleets, municipalities, dealers, and charging providers.
• Produce dashboards and reports on applications, awards, spending, and program outcomes.
• Contribute qualifications and past-performance narratives to proposals when authorized.
