Job summary

Rivian is seeking a hands-on Field Service Technician to support Rivian vehicle repairs. Based primarily in Southern California, the role may require travel to various locations, including the production plant, for vehicle support as needed. This level-agnostic posting recruits technicians across experience levels.

You will diagnose, repair, and service Rivian vehicles in the field or at service centers, maintaining high-quality workmanship with safety and customer satisfaction in mind.

Qualifications

• Hands-on automotive/field service experience preferred.
• Experience with EV or hybrid repair a plus.
• Open to entry-level to career technicians across levels.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle diagnosis, repairs, installations, and inspections at a service center or on-site at customer locations.
• Identify Rivian product line and EV framework, tools, and accessories.
• Follow Rivian repair procedures using available resources without compromising safety or quality.
• Conduct road tests to verify repair quality.
• Manage parts operations including ordering, receiving, shipping and inventory.
• Document work and technical notes for internal/external use.
• Communicate professionally with customers and teammates.
