Job summary

Orange EV is seeking a Detroit-based Electric Vehicle Field Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and support local Orange EV fleets. You will analyze Remote Monitoring System data, coordinate with customers, and perform field upgrades and retrofits as needed.

You will document work in the service records, collaborate with the service team, and travel to training sites to meet regional goals. A technical background and customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in the automotive or electrical industries.
• Strong MS Office skills including Excel, Word, and TEAMS.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75–100 lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles at a systemic/component level.
• Represent Orange EV professionally to customers and third parties.
• Use Remote Monitoring System data to plan service and prioritize needs.
• Record all service activity accurately in the service system.
• Communicate with customers and service providers to resolve issues efficiently.
• Coordinate with site managers and electricians on charging infrastructure logistics.
• Prepare reports on vehicle condition and service outcomes.
• Support sales and marketing efforts with technical expertise.
• Travel for initial training and to meet service goals.
