Job summary

Pearce Services in the United States is seeking an experienced EV Charging Field Service Electrician to perform on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging stations within a defined region, ensuring safety, electrical system reliability, and accurate field reporting.

The role requires Journeyman electrician certification, 2+ years in electrical power equipment service, and the ability to work independently in varied field conditions.

Qualifications

• Electrical – Certified Electrician (Journeyman level) from a relevant state (REQUIRED).
• 2+ years’ equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training.
• Experience with EV chargers, solar power installations, or other applicable power electronics is preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to EV chargers from Level 2 to DC Fast Chargers.
• Perform testing on equipment including insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations.
• Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults.
• Work with Planning and Scheduling to ensure maintenance schedules and work orders are completed on time.
• Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment.
• In-field maintenance and site reporting, work order completion, and related duties.
• Ensure issues at the site are documented in the work order system and addressed promptly.
