Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a full-time Field Service Engineer / Technician / Electrician to service the San Jose, CA metro area. The role emphasizes local travel 80-90% and provides a company vehicle for field duties.

Salary ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 per year with potential overtime. Experience in EV charging or solar infrastructures is preferred, along with strong troubleshooting and leadership abilities.

Qualifications

• Field operations experience in servicing/troubleshooting medium to high-voltage EV charging or similar environments.
• Experience with 480V AC / 500V+ DC is helpful.
• Demonstrated leadership coordinating with suppliers and vendors.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead service and maintenance activities at DC Fast Charging sites for risk mitigation, testing, data collection, and repair management.
• Plan and coordinate major site repairs and improvements.
• Audit field maintenance methods and provide feedback to partners to improve quality and repeatability.
• Develop and support site longitudinal testing activities.
• Conduct electrical forensics within charging station infrastructure.
• Drive continuous improvement across scope of work.
