Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Field Service Engineer / Technician for the New York and Newark, New Jersey metro area. The role involves up to 80-90% local travel and a company vehicle will be provided.

Pay ranges from $70,000 to $80,000 per year, with overtime eligibility and a comprehensive benefits package. Qualified candidates should have prior field operations experience in servicing/troubleshooting DC medium to high voltage environments, preferably EV charging or solar.

Qualifications

• Experience in field operations troubleshooting DC medium to high voltage EV charging or solar environments.
• Experience with 480V AC and 500V+ DC maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated leadership coordinating with suppliers and vendors.
• Electrical troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead service and maintenance at DC Fast Charging sites for risk mitigation, testing, data collection, corrections, and repair management.
• Plan and coordinate major site repairs and improvements.
• Audit field maintenance methods and feedback to internal and external partners to improve field maintenance practices.
• Develop and support site longitudinal testing activities.
• Conduct electrical forensics within charging station infrastructure.
• Scope of work continuous improvement.
