Job summary

ChargeTronix in Costa Mesa, CA is seeking an EV Charger Technical Support Specialist to diagnose and repair DC EV chargers and provide technical assistance to customers and field technicians. A strong electrical background and experience with installation procedures, configurations, and software updates are required.

You will work closely with engineering, product management, and sales to resolve issues, create FAQs, and improve support processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, power electronics or related field preferred.
• Strong understanding of hardware and PCB functionality.
• Hands-on experience with 12V/24V power supplies, breadboards, CM boards, x86s, RAM, SSD cards.
• Proven experience in technical support or field service, preferably in the electric vehicle industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems, including AC/DC power distribution and wiring diagrams.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for troubleshooting electronic devices, networking, software and hardware.
• Basic knowledge of Linux OS and networks.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical audiences effectively.
• Customer-focused attitude with a passion for providing exceptional service and support.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and courteous technical support to customers via written and verbal communication.
• Diagnose technical issues with EV charging equipment remotely and implement solutions efficiently.
• Assist customers and field technicians with installation procedures, configuration settings, diagnosis and software updates.
• Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions in a CRM/Ticketing system.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to product improvement initiatives.
• Travel domestically as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
