Job summary

Hyundai America Technical Center, Inc. in Superior Township, MI is seeking an Engineer I or II to design high voltage battery systems for xEV programs. You will lead design activities, manage parts or sub-systems, and ensure compliance with development standards.

You will collaborate with Hyundai Korea R&D, suppliers, and internal teams, produce documentation, and present milestones. Travel up to 20% domestically and abroad.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field relevant to EV battery systems.
• 1–2 years in xEV battery systems or production-intent development.
• Ability to participate in cross-functional design reviews with internal and external teams.
• Proficiency with CAD systems (Catia, NX, Creo) and willingness to learn HATCI processes.
• Experience reading drawings and specifications for materials and construction.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high voltage battery pack systems for xEV programs.
• Project management of components or modules with design release responsibility.
• Communicate battery technologies to Headquarters and production programs.
• Benchmark competitors and apply insights to target setting.
• Prepare technical documentation and present milestones to stakeholders.
