Job summary

Moatable seeks a European Financial Controller to take hands-on ownership of financial control across LoftyWorks Ltd, The Letting Partnership, and Moatable Poland. The role reports to the Corporate Financial Controller and covers month-end close, statutory compliance, and finance operations in a time-sensitive environment.

You will ensure integrity of reporting, manage cross-border processes, and support commercial decisions with timely financial information.

Qualifications

• Qualified or part-qualified accountant with full qualification preferred.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a financial controller or senior finance role.
• Experience managing multi-entity accounting and intercompany structures.
• Experience with UK VAT, HMRC compliance, and payroll.
• Strong Excel skills with reconciliation capability.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Own and deliver month-end close across all entities.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain integrity between Sage Intacct and Xero across systems.
• Prepare and review accruals, allocations, and entity-specific adjustments.
• Coordinate year-end audit processes and liaise with external auditors.
• Govern intercompany accounting, reconciliations, and settlements.
• Oversee payroll processes for UK and Poland and ensure timely payments.
