Job summary

Indian River State College seeks an Academic Coordinator to support the Educational Talent Search program, guiding middle and high school students through academic planning, tutoring, mentoring, and college readiness workshops. You will oversee ETS instructors, coordinate field trips, and facilitate family engagement to promote college access.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required.
• Minimum two years of experience with federal grant programs serving low‑income/first‑generation students.
• Experience engaging with students from diverse or challenged backgrounds.
• Familiarity with EDGAR, OMB A‑21, and related grant administration principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic counseling and oversee academic support services for ETS participants.
• Develop and implement academic programs and workshops; prepare reports and newsletters.
• Coordinate logistics for events, field trips, and program activities.
• Collect, manage, and analyze program data to track progress and outcomes.
• Advise students on college pathways and assist with admissions and financial aid topics.
