Job summary

Indian River State College is seeking an Academic Coordinator to support Educational Talent Search (ETS) participants, guiding middle and high school students through academic planning, tutoring, mentoring, and college readiness workshops.

You will work with teachers, counselors, and families, oversee ETS instructors, tutors, and mentors, and coordinate college preparatory workshops and financial aid guidance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Counseling, Social Work, or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience with federal grant programs serving low-income and first-generation students.
• Proven experience with students from low-income backgrounds or educational hurdles.
• Knowledge of academic advising and college, career pathways.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic counseling and oversight of academic support services for ETS participants.
• Develop and implement academic programs and workshops; prepare reports and newsletters.
• Oversee ETS instructors, tutors, and mentors; facilitate monthly meetings with teachers and counselors.
• Maintain accurate student data records and progress; support program compliance and evaluation.
