Job summary

RTX (Raytheon) is seeking an engineering manager to lead the Etch Sr. Section within the RF Microelectronics/Module Design & Foundry Services department in Andover, MA.

The role directs a team of etch engineers in a 24/7 foundry environment across multiple shifts to advance GaAs/GaN/GaSb processes. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in semiconductor processing, a STEM degree, and must be eligible for a DoD Secret security clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM field.
• 10+ years of semiconductor processing or process integration experience (advanced STEM degree could count for 3 years).
• Ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of etch engineers in a 24/7 foundry operation.
• Drive technical strategy for Etch processes (Dry/ Wet Etch, Wet Clean, Electroplating).
• Review process changes, champion improvements, and interface with operations management.
• Oversee project schedules and costs; drive capital acquisition and qualification.
• Allocate team resources and communicate across functional teams; identify capital needs.
• Support manpower planning, performance reviews, and proposal development.
• Support management at department, directorate, and leadership levels.
