Job summary

Rosendin Electric, Inc. in California (Orchard Parkway) is seeking an Estimator II to prepare and complete bid documents and cost estimates for electrical construction projects.

You will review drawings, identify scope, quantify items, and present findings to leadership with guidance from senior estimators. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in construction management or engineering and at least 3 years of estimating experience, preferably in electrical construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience estimating commercial construction projects, preferably in electrical construction.
• Proficient in Accubid estimating and CAD or 3D software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine the scope of work and requirements.
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of the scope of work and entering them into the estimating system.
• Identify qualified suppliers/subcontractors and solicit quotes.
• Itemize and quantify all incidentals for bid packages, including sub-contract work, equipment rental, tools, and supplies.
• Provide guidance to personnel preparing the completion matrix for assigned bids.
• Develop labor productivity and installation unit costs with Senior Estimators.
