Job summary

Rosendin is hiring an Estimator I to support electrical construction bids. This salaried, entry-level position assists in preparing bid documents and cost estimates with supervision and for several small to medium projects.

You will learn to review specs, develop takeoffs, and coordinate with suppliers and senior estimators to ensure accurate bids. Travel up to 10% may be required, with comprehensive benefits and ESOP.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in estimating commercial construction projects, preferably electrical.
• Basic experience/exposure in Accubid estimating.

Responsibilities

• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and estimate content.
• Receive guidance from senior estimators to review scope and pricing.
• Compute estimates by taking off scope of work and entering into estimating system.
• Solicit quotes from suppliers and subcontractors and review for completeness.
• Provide detailed scope/pricing reviews to lead estimator, estimating manager, or chief estimator.
• Contribute to timely completion of client-required documents.
• Use templates to draft scope inclusions, exclusions, and clarifications.
• Maintain working document files to back up estimating assumptions.
• Other duties as assigned within the business unit.
