Job summary

Bartos Industries is seeking an Estimator to review plans and specifications, prepare accurate estimates, and support Outside Sales and Senior Inside Sales with technical product details. The role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED and at least 1 year of related experience, with basic HVAC knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of related training, education, or relevant experience.
• Strong math, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
• Basic understanding of HVAC mechanical equipment and concepts preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications; ability to learn new programs and tools.
• Highly detail-oriented with excellent accuracy in work.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple bid deadlines independently.
• Professional communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Review plans and specifications to prepare accurate quotes and estimates.
• Analyze construction processes, schedules, and technical documents to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Support Outside Sales Engineers by assisting with equipment product selections and value engineering options.
• Enter customer and product information into company systems with a high degree of accuracy.
• Provide pricing and product information to internal teams and customers.
• Communicate daily with internal team members and vendors; limited external customer contact.
• Use computer-based pricing and selection tools to prepare bids and proposals.
• Perform administrative tasks related to project management, including order processing and documentation.
• Maintain a professional customer service demeanor while balancing multiple deadlines.
