Job summary

Commercial Construction, Inc. is seeking an estimator to join our pre-construction team and help drive accurate, competitive bids that win work.

In this role, you'll manage estimating documentation, lead subcontractor outreach and bid coverage, and produce the deliverables that move our projects from RFP to contract. If you're detail-oriented, organized, and have real experience estimating ground-up construction, we want to hear from you.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial construction industry.
• Minimum 1 year of experience estimating with a General Contractor.
• Bachelor's Degree in Construction Science, Management, or Engineering.
• Proficiency with estimating software and tools.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to work alongside subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain pre-construction documentation, including estimates, bids, contracts, and project plans.
• Prepare and input cost estimates into estimating software.
• Compile bid packages and schedule pre-construction meetings.
• Reach out to subcontractors, track bids, and document good-faith outreach efforts.
• Coordinate with vendors for services and products needed during pre-construction.
• Produce key deliverables including bid forms, scopes of work, schedules, price index recap sheets, value engineering recommendations, bid tabs, and RFP response materials.
• Participate in early client and prospect meetings as needed to explain pricing assumptions, identify cost drivers, and provide preconstruction insight.
• Prioritize responsiveness and turnaround time to help Business Development capitalize on new opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
